Compete or Showcase your talents on the BIG STAGE with a 20' video screen, professional show lighting, 12' poles, and supportive environment to hype you up.

Take a beginner or advanced workshop, attend an informative seminar, visit the vendors, watch the freestyles and performances, and settle in to experience the US Pole Star Championship.

*All competitors and performers receive a full Weekend Warrior Pass with their registration, all others please purchase a pass to enter the event, attend a free workshop, free seminar, or register for a Pole Star Workshop.

US Pole Star Championship

Bring your dreams to the stage with full control of your choice of lighting and video background to create the most unique and breathtaking performance of your life.

What is it?

A formal and artistic pole dance adult amateur & professional athlete competition that includes an exhibition/showcase option. Open to all that apply, space is limited

Each division and level competes in one of four selected categories. Showcases are performances that are not judged

CATEGORIES

ARTISTIC DANCE

Emphasis on expression of contemporary, modern, interpretive, & lyrical forms of dance. 

CLASSIC

Emphasis for the artistry of the exotic, erotic, and sensual dance styles. Low pole work, sensuality, long lines, flexibility, fluidity of heel work, body rolls, skills in shaking and/or isolating movements.

PERFORMANCE THEATER

Emphasis on telling a story, can be an entertaining, dramatic, upbeat, fun, or amusing spectacle, elaborate costuming, use of prop(s) to interpret story, and/or an emphasis on creative theme, concept, and character.

POLE SPORT

The artistry of pole as a sport. Emphasis on difficulty and execution of tricks and transitions. Pole tricks and floor work resemble athletic and gymnastic movements.

LEVELS

  • NOVICE

  • Beginners. Dancing around the pole and floor at a beginner level, low base pole floor work, spins, poses, no pole inversions; must keep hips below the head when body weight is supported on the pole.

  • INTERMEDIATE

  • Dancing around the pole and floor at an intermediate level, low base floor work, spins, poses, combos. Inverting from the floor and using three points of the body in contact while inverted on the pole.

  • ADVANCED

  • Dancing around the pole and floor at an advanced level, floor work, spins, poses, and combos. Floor and aerial inverting. Keeping three points of the body in contact while inverted on the pole.

  • SEMI-PRO

  • Dance, floor work, spins, inversions, and combos that align with Semi-Pro Level. Must keep two points of the body in contact with the pole while inverted on the pole. Demonstration of aerial inversions with straight legs, flexibility, unique pole trick combinations, strength, and stamina. No aerial jumping, flipping, or popping off the pole while inverted. 

  • PROFESSIONAL

  • Articulates a mastery of dance, floor work, spins, inversions, combos, and athleticism. No restrictions with moves. Winner advanced on to the Pole Championship Series in Ohio at the Arnold Classic.
